WARNING
● When replacing original tires with winter (snow) tires, make sure you use only the same size, construction and load range as the original tires listed on the tire placard. Using other sizes and construction may affect speedometer/ odometer calibration and clearance between the body and tires. It also may be dangerous and lead to loss of vehicle control.
● You must install four winter tires that are of the same size, circumferences, construction, brand, and load range. Tire chains cannot be used on any tires for your Legacy and Outback because of
lack of clearance between the tires and vehicle body.

Engine Mounting
A: REMOVAL
1) Change the front hood damper mounting position
from (A) to (B), and completely open the front
hood.
Tightening torque:
20 N*m (2.0 kgf-m, 14.8 ft-lb)
2) Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
3) Remove the radiator main fan motor assembly
and radiator sub fan motor assembly. <R
Clutch Disc and Cover
A: REMOVAL
1) Remove the transmission assembly from vehicle
body. <Ref. to 6MT-25, REMOVAL, Manual Transmission
Assembly.>
2) Attach the ST to the flywheel.
